One Office - All Services!
Throughout the past year, we have been observing and gathering information about the daily operations of our entire organization. With guidance from the Board of Directors, we have come to the conclusion that our services will be best provided if the full staff works together out of the Manahawkin office.
This means we will be closing our Little Egg Harbor Office.
Let us first assure you, that in no way are we decreasing our services to the Little Egg Harbor area. We are still serving all our current care receivers, and hoping to serve even more! We are actually making plans on how to increase the opportunities, recruit more volunteers and gain more community support from local congregations and businesses.
It is because of our wonderful growth and expansion of programs that we are making this decision, not due to any shortcomings. This decision was not made lightly but with consideration of many things such as increased numbers of new care receivers; concerns about volunteer availability; long-term financial planning; increased usage of staff vans/drivers; community outreach, and more.
Our Little Egg Harbor (LEH) Office will now become a remote/hybrid workspace utilizing the meeting room we have in the back of the building for computer work/data input, small meetings and volunteer training, as needed. With the move to this space, we will no longer have a phone line active so all requests or questions will be directed to the Manahawkin office.
We have been working for the past few months to move the paperwork and communication for our community programs (Ken’s Kitchen & Library) all to Manahawkin, which has many of our LEH care receivers calling to RSVP, or ask questions. We know this will also help with the transition.
Susan Tolomeo, our Assistant Director from the LEH Office will be in Manahawkin on Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons, will be presenting at more community outreach events in addition to her hard work with the annual Bingo fundraiser.
Patti Kramer, our Office Assistant from the LEH Office will be in Manahawkin on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings, to continue to serve all our care receivers and volunteers.
The fabulous office volunteers from LEH will be continuing to help with reassurance calls, friendly visits, community programs, fundraisers, and in the office in Manahawkin, based on their own preferences and availability.
We are so appreciative of their commitment to Interfaith!
May
Little Egg Harbor will be open ONLY on Tuesdays, 9:00am-3:00pm.
Our last day in the office will be Tuesday, May 27th.
June
Little Egg Harbor office will be closed to public.
Staff will continue to work in the office in June to move files, furniture, etc. We will continue to keep the LEH workspace/back office open for remote work & meetings.
Please feel free to reach out to Amy Raimondi at 609-978-3839 if you have any questions or comments about this transition.
