Become a Volunteer

Hours

Manahawkin Office: Monday - Thursday: 9:00am-3:00pm
Little Egg Harbor Office: Tuesdays: 9:00am-3:00pm

Volunteers are the heart of our organization.

Volunteers are invited to attend a one-time training session to learn more about our services and opportunities.

Volunteers can help as much as they can/wish.  We have volunteers who are retired, working, and/or are part-time residents of LBI and of all ages (over 18).

All volunteers will complete and submit a registration form.  A full background check (criminal & driving) will completed by IHSS.

Volunteer Training is held weekly on Tuesdays at 10:30am or 1:00pm.  Complete and submit the form and we will contact you about attending training.

To speak with someone about volunteering, please complete and submit the contact form below and someone from our offices will be in touch (within 1-2 business days).

A gift in return...

Lynn Rennar, a volunteer for over 15 years says, “I started because I wanted to be of help to those in need, but also I get so much back in return that I didn’t expect. I have met such wonderful and interesting people who are grateful for our services. I am so happy to be here.”

Paying it forward...

Christina Lejda, a volunteer driver and office assistant, reports that she has been volunteering since she was a teenager for a variety of causes. “I chose Interfaith because, God willing, I may live to the age where I will need its services. Interfaith will be there for me and I am paying it forward while I can.”

Called to do your best...

Volunteer Richard Christina offers this advice, “The Golden Rule to volunteering is that if you commit to something… do it! Your ability to fulfill a commitment does not just reflect on you; it also reflects upon the organization you are volunteering for.”
